SAN Lead Ice Climbing Course is for those who feel confident in their vertical ice climbing ability and want to learn the skills employed to lead safely‚ efficiently‚ and with confidence.
Clients will learn how to assess the ice conditions‚ the chosen line of ascent‚ and determine good stances for placing protection. The course also focuses on helping the lead climber aware of problematic situations in relationship to an efficient racking system‚ various protection techniques and their use and efficiency of energy.
The course is also designed to help the leader understand his/her environment in order to make it safely back down and without problems on a cold winter abseil.

The setting for this course will be held one of the many ice fall locations of BukHanSan National Park.
Lead Ice Course is only 250‚000KRW per client and 200‚000KRW for every other client after that.
Basic ice climbing gear is not provided, but may be rented for the reasonable price of 5,000KRW per gear. Neccessary gear includes: helmet, boots, crampons, harness, ice axes and belaying device set or or 25,000KRW for everything.
